Conservative MP supports Fleet Separation and Owner Operator Policies
It looks like the pressure from the Opposition and many, many Canadians and fishers’ organizations is having an effect. This mail-back card from Conservative MP John Williamson makes it clear that he supports the current Owner Operator and Fleet Separation policies for the East Coast. To be fair, Fisheries and Oceans Minister Keith Ashfield has never clearly stated his intention to eliminate these cornerstone policies.
